Smudging is traditionally a ceremony for purifying or cleansing the soul of negative thoughts of a person or place. Smudging involves the burning of sacred herbs, such as white sage, or resins, and is a ceremony practiced by some Indigenous people of America. In this class, you’ll learn about the history and continued use of smudge materials. Plus, you’ll get to take home samples of 6-8 different materials used for smudging.
